About Us

Growing up in Port Lincoln, Melissa was surrounded by the kind of beautiful, family-owned shops where the owners knew your name and every piece on the shelves felt like it had been chosen with real love. So when the opportunity came up in 2022 to take on the local homewares, kitchen and gift shop at Mitcham Square Shopping Centre, it felt more than a little serendipitous.

After a 25-year career in hospitality - including owning and managing the Marina Hotel the leap into retail felt like the right next chapter. (And surely playing shops and selling coloured sand out the front of the family home as a little girl counts as early retail experience!)

HM Gallerie is carefully curated to be a space where our lovely customers can wander, browse, and simply enjoy the collection of beautiful things we've tracked down with our wonderful suppliers. We love helping you find the perfect gift, a gorgeous new addition to your décor, or that kitchen gadget you didn't know you needed - and we especially love it when we happen to have that odd little thing you've been hunting for ages.
